Vancouver’s Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar is committed to culinary excellence that redefines the art of fine dining with creative dishes, impeccable service, and elegant ambiance. Led by Executive Chef Roger Ma, the seafood-focused menu is grounded in classical technique and training, while artfully infusing casual West Coast flair and creative hints of his international influences.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Roger trained at the eponymous 1 Michelin star Restaurant Daniel in NYC. Roger rose to the position of corporate sous Chef opening Chef Boulud’s Café Boulud in Toronto and Maison Boulud in Montreal. In 2014, he returned home to join the opening team as Chef de Cuisine of Boulevard. Roger was promoted to Executive Chef in 2018 and during his tenure, Roger earned top prizes at culinary events such as the Canadian Culinary Championships in 2020 winning a gold medal. As Executive Chef, Roger led Boulevard to top honours in the Best Seafood category at the Vancouver Magazine Restaurant Awards and Restaurant of the year in 2020. Roger’s cooking earned a no. 9 spot in Canada’s top 100 restaurant list in 2022 and a Michelin recommendation in 2023. He credits his talented kitchen team for the restaurant’s success, emphasizing collaboration and innovation as key drivers for his culinary vision.
